The 2025 Mobius Awards ceremony event will take place on November 5, 2025, at the Halifax Convention Centre.

Each year, this signature event brings together Nova Scotia’s environmental leaders—from businesses and government to community groups and changemakers—to celebrate innovation and impact in waste reduction and sustainability.

The nomination period for the 2025 Mobius Awards is now closed. Thank you to those who nominated an environmental champion from your community. Winners will announced at the 2025 Mobius Awards Gala on November 5, 2025.

2024 Mobius Award Winners

On November 13, 2024, Divert NS hosted the 24th annual Mobius Awards at the Halifax Convention Centre, celebrating Nova Scotians leading in waste reduction and sustainability. Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Jiaying Zhao, the event brought together environmental leaders for an inspiring evening of recognition.

On November 1, 2023, we hosted the 23rd Mobius Awards of Environmental Excellence, bringing together Nova Scotia’s environmental elite. We are proud to celebrate the following seven winners leading the charge in waste reduction and environmental action in Nova Scotia.

2022 Mobius Award Winners

The 22nd annual Mobius Awards of Environmental Excellence was held on November 1, 2022 at the Halifax Convention Centre. The event keynote speaker, Sarain Fox, a Canadian Anishinaabe activist, broadcaster and filmmaker.

2021 Mobius Award Champions

In 2021, the Mobius Awards presented a celebration of Champions who, despite a global pandemic, never gave up on their environmental actions and even took on new waste-reducing initiatives and habits.

2019 Mobius Award Winners

The 21st annual Mobius Awards of Environmental Excellence was held on October 30, 2019 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel. The event featured keynote speaker, Andrew Isaac Thornton, an entrepreneur and owner of Thornton’s Budgens supermarket in the U.K.

Divert NS hosted the 20th annual Mobius Awards of Environmental Excellence on October 25, 2018 at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market. The event featured Joshua Becker as keynote speaker.
