These annual awards celebrate Enviro-Depots across Nova Scotia that go above and beyond in customer service and employee relations, engage and support their community, and participate in Divert NS depot initiatives. The awards are presented in two categories: Large Enviro-Depot™ of the Year and Small Enviro-Depot™ of the Year.

2024 Large Enviro-Depot™ of the Year: W. O’Leary’s Recycling Depot Garland’s Crossing

A customer favourite, W. O’Leary’s Recycling Depot is the winner of the Large Enviro-Depot of the Year. Serving Windsor in Hants County, W. O’Leary’s Recycling Depot accepts beverage containers, textiles and clothing, automotive batteries, and used paint for recycling. This Enviro-Depot goes above and beyond when in comes to fundraising and supporting their community, raising thousands of dollars each year for local groups and charities.

2024 Small Enviro-Depot™ of the Year: Carleton Road Bottle Exchange

Congratulations to the Small Enviro-Depot of the Year, Carleton Road Bottle Exchange. Based in Lawrencetown in the Annapolis Valley, Carleton Road Bottle Exchange has been praised for removing barriers for adults with intellectual disabilities by providing them with learning and career opportunities in Nova Scotia’s recycling and waste reduction landscape. They provide exceptional customer service experience for customers to drop off their beverage containers and end-of-life electronics.
