Producer Registration for EPR
Attention producers of packaging, paper products, and packaging-like products: Our online Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program Portal is now live. If you are a producer of paper, glass, metal or plastic, or a combination of these materials, you may fall under Nova Scotia’s new EPR for PPP program.

Nova Scotia’s new curbside recycling program
Divert NS is overseeing a more efficient and effective curbside recycling program that will shift responsibility for curbside recycling from municipalities to the producers of packaging and paper products. This new approach will reduce the amount of waste disposed in landfills and incentivize producers to meet stricter recycling targets and reduce consumer packaging.

These annual awards celebrate Enviro-Depots across Nova Scotia that go above and beyond in customer service, employee relations, and community support.
Waste Reduction Week 2023
Waste Reduction Week happens during the third week of October during Circular Economy Month. By focusing our efforts on extending the life of our products and materials through swapping, sharing, thrifting, and repairing, we are reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill and contributing to the circular economy.
