    Divert NS is thrilled to be continuing its partnership with DirectioNS, funding $50,000 to assist projects in Nova Scotia's waste diversion landscape including repurposing materials intended for landfills, supporting thrift stores, funding equipment, and much more!

    Nova Scotian community works together to divert wood waste from landfill

    The Municipality of the County of Inverness recently partnered with L'Arche Cape Breton to divert 40 wood pallets from landfill and create a beautiful and functional wooden table.

    Funding Innovative Approaches for Litter Reduction

    Divert NS recently funded Waste Check, the Western Region Solid Waste-Resource Management authority, to pilot a few litter intervention projects in Digby, Yarmouth, and Saulnierville, including installing waste bins at restaurant drive-thrus and increasing litter awareness at the Digby Area Recreation Facility.
