FAQ

What is the exemption criteria for small producers in Nova Scotia?

If a producer has less than $1 million in gross revenue in Nova Scotia or supplies less than one(1) tonne of designated material in Nova Scotia in a calendar year, they are considered a small producer and exempt under the regulations for the respective year.

Organizations that are registered under the Societies Act are also exempt under the regulations.

Producers that are exempt are not required to register within the EPR Portal or submit supply data.
