It is important to Divert NS to reduce Oversight fees for producers wherever possible.

Divert NS is working hard to register free riders, which would increase the number of producers and share costs among more producers.

Divert NS’ shared service model allows for common expenses and helps to contain costs by allowing the EPR Oversight division to use existing Divert NS resources for functions such as finance, communications and IT, rather than establishing dedicated services for each area.

To help reduce financial pressure on producers, Divert NS has deferred establishing an operational reserve so that EPR Oversight fees remain as low as possible.

Divert NS is also working with other Canadian EPR Oversight agencies to align procedures that will reduce burden on producers.
