A brand holder means a person who owns or licences a brand or who otherwise has rights to market a product under the brand.   

The brand holder must also be a resident of Canada regardless of whether the products are supplied by a licensee of the brand owner, a distributor, retailer, or supplied directly by the brand holder to the residential consumer.
