Divert NS continues to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation around the world and here in Nova Scotia. We are taking specific steps based on the advice of Public Health and Provincial government to slow its spread and mitigate the impact on our operations.
Divert NS Processing Facility Temporary Closure and the Enviro-DepotTM Network
Divert NS has determined that we are not able to maintain current operations at our processing facility in Kemptown, and as a result, the facility will close temporarily starting March 23. We are working to reopen as quickly as possible. During this time, we will continue to service the Enviro-Depots that remain open, for the time-being and until further notice. However, this status will be evaluated day-to-day.
Enviro-Depots are independently owned and operated businesses. We are strongly suggesting to them to follow the current requirements by Public Health and the Provincial government if they are continuing to operate.
Before visiting an Enviro-DepotTM, we encourage you to call ahead (https://divertns.ca/recycling/find-a-depot) to confirm if they are open and if they have any specific measures in place to protect their staff and the public from the spread of COVID-19 that may impact your customer experience.
Some depots have advised us of their temporary closures or changes to their business hours. A list is available on our website at https://divertns.ca/assets/files/depot_impacts.pdf.
Divert NS Office Closed
Effective March 23, the Divert NS head office at 35 Commercial Street, Truro is closed, however, we are still providing service with all office staff now working remotely. This change is to comply with the Provincial State of Emergency limiting gatherings to no more than five (5) people. Additionally, the building management is locking the main doors to the public.
If you have questions or require assistance from Divert NS staff, please call us at 902-895-7732 or 1-877-313-7732 toll-free, or email us at email@example.com.
We understand the importance of complying with Public Health and Provincial government requirements to slow the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to focus on what we can do, not what we can’t. We greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding during these difficult times.
