TRURO – Nova Scotians who show great dedication to recycling and diverting waste will be recognized at this year’s Mobius Awards of Environmental Excellence – with David Suzuki in attendance.
On November 9, Divert NS will host the 18th annual Mobius Awards of Environmental Excellence, a provincial award ceremony which gives special recognition to individuals, businesses, and organizations who are innovating in an effort to divert waste from landfill. The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. David Suzuki, award-winning scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster. The emcee will be CBC’s Colleen Jones.
“This event is our chance to thank champions of recycling and waste diversion in our province,” said Jeff MacCallum, CEO, Divert NS. “Nova Scotia’s waste disposal rate is less than half the national average. We can’t think of a better speaker than Dr. Suzuki to help us celebrate these environmental successes for our province.”
