Put Waste in its Place
Recycling is part of our everyday routine in Nova Scotia and opportunities abound to recycle everything from beverage containers, to newspapers, to tires, plastic bags, electronics, and more.
In Nova Scotia, all municipalities offer curbside collection for paper and plastic recyclables, and most offer curbside composting. In addition, there is a network of 78 ENVIRO-DEPOT™ locations that collect refundable beverage containers, leftover paint, and a variety of other materials. For years, the municipal and ENVIRO-DEPOT™ recycling networks have worked to divert tens of thousands of tonnes of materials from landfills with the help of recycling Nova Scotians.
